Still Alive

To make up for lost time, today is a two part-er-

Part I. I briefly rave about Portal 2:

Mole-y cow! I love Portal 2. I took about a year to finish, which was not my or the game's fault. Played halfway through on Fiance's Xbox in one sitting. Forgot it wasn't my own xbox and that I didn't have it saved on my own to resume playing later. Then, was gifted his Xbox's hard drive, only to find out Fiance's brother cleared the drive of the game's save!

Well, I guess in a way it was a good thing. Because I got to relive the awesomeness from start to finish. I love this game. So much! (I admit I totally fail and have not played Portal. But it's definitely on my to-do list.) Anyway, if you love puzzle games and have sense of humor, you must play this game. It's hilarious, challenging, and has amazing graphics. Stephen Merchant (not to be confused with the other funny British Stephen...) is awesome as Wheatley. I think he's awesome anyway (I heart The Ricky Gervais Show), but he does such a great job... The story is great too; I never felt like I was solving the test chambers just for the sake of solving them. The story still seemed involved always. Even if the point in the story was just- you must complete the test chambers...And the ending- whoa! ...If you were at all on the fence about this game, I highly recommend it. Go get it. Now.

Part II.  Exciting News! Well, maybe not exciting. But definitely news...

So, despite it's undeniable awesomeness, I've decide that this blog has seemed somewhat one dimensional this last month. I can't exactly (and honestly would rather not) give play by plays on D&D outings  and I haven't gotten around to reviewing comics yet (and am not sure I want to bother with that epic endeavor, so it seems it's been a lot of talk of television and miscellany. So to break the mold a bit, I'm going to start including book reviews. I'll be honest, I have the reading attention span of a gnat. So a lot of them I will have started and not-finished. But that doesn't mean I don't think that they might be a big hit with anyone reading this. I realize I've already reviewed one book on here, but I'm going to be better about including more. My goal would be to create a section of just book reviews. Exclusively science fiction and fantasy...okay, and also manga. Because I recently discovered its not all high school drama or yaoi/yuri. (Seriously, Bride of the Water God. Check it out. Fantastic artwork...but more on that later...)

Now don't worry. There are thousands of other book review blogs out there, and I don't read any of them. So I'll keep it interesting when I do a review, and I'll still write about other things just as often. I know you'd be so sad to miss out on my other interests and wit...

You can look forward to gems like this...which I totally bought for the cover.

The cake is a lie!
